Sapa Eco Trekking Tour – 2 days

Sapa Eco Trekking Tour is a great tour for all guests with interesting sight seeing and highland scape. Trekking and visiting ethnic minorities are main parts of this tour.

This trip includes a trek through the hills and valleys of the Sapa region, discovering several different minorities along the way. You will experience overnight accommodation in the hospitable villaages of Giay and Tay ethnic minorities. The apparent hardships are worth it though as we walk through some of the most spectacular scenery that Vietnam has to offer and experience unique villages culture.

Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai

20:30 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi to Ha Noi train station 60 minutes before train leaving at 8:30pm for Lao Cai. Your train arrives at 5:30 or 6:00am

Day 2 Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van Villages – Ecolodge

The train arrives at around 6:00 am. Look for the “Trekking Sapa’s Logo & Your Name” sign when you exit the train station, as our guide will pick you up there and transfer to the former hill station of Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of this area, the expansive green landscape is enlivened by the colors of its hill tribe population – flashes of shining silver jewelry from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H’mong and the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao can be seen. It is here you will find hands stained with color from fabric dyes and shades of blue, red and green intricately embroidered and stitched into jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps, purses and leggings.

After having breakfast at local restaurant, a short rest and some last preparations before our Sapa trip

The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River along Y Linh Ho valley and from here lead to the Black H’mong in Lao Chai village. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigio blue clothing.

Continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam . The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. Then transfer to Ecolodge for check in. Have dinner and relaxing at Ecolodge.
